With Félix Roudaut for ESAAT - Roubaix.
At the start of the 2023 academic year, we invited 1st-year dnmade objet students to take over their school's courtyard, designing and building furniture for outdoor dining.

After a brief analysis of the site and its needs, the students worked in groups of 3/4 to develop a variety of furniture pieces. The design and production of the projects were based on one constraint: the use of standard oak sticks from a cooperage that classified them as scrap. The students had to develop a project that would fit into a material and constructive reality. We provided them with wood assembly samples (glued/screwed), as well as theoretical input on the notion of bracing.

We then accompanied the students through the three-day production phase, culminating in a festive restitution in the form of a collective tea party, inviting the whole school to discover and appropriate the freshly-made objects.
