An occasional chair is an extra seat, often folding, added to an already furnished space. Designed to welcome guests, it is rarely synonymous with comfort.
On this spirit, our aim was to design a folding chair that, in the manner of the Shakers, can be put away when not in use while remaining present within the domestic sphere.
By refining the chair’s essential profile, we sought a balance between comfort and formal simplicity. From this research emerges a chair that, once folded, hangs on the wall to free up space and becomes a light, graphic form that dresses the home.
